What is Wild Tots?
Wild Tots is our guided, forest-based toddler group, perfect for newborns to 5 years. Held in our peaceful forest near Exeter, each 90-minute session includes play, natural crafts, stories, singing, sensory activities, and a campfire snack.
Our approach is child-led and parent-friendly, giving little ones space to explore, enjoy nature, and develop confidence, while grown-ups enjoy a cuppa and connection with other like minded parents and carers.

Why Parents Love Wild Tots
Session Overview
Typical 90-minute Wild Tots session includes:
- Free forest play and sensory exploration - let little imaginations run wild among the trees.
- Mud kitchen antics and creative crafts - mixing, moulding, pouring and creating with nature’s materials.
- Campfire snack preparation and cooking - children can help measure, mix, chop and stir before enjoying tasty treats they’ve helped make over the fire.
- Seasonal forest games and storytelling - playful adventures and tales inspired by the woods.
- Songs, nature discoveries, and relaxed parent chat - a gentle way to round off the morning together.
Sessions adapt to the seasons and the children’s interests, making every week different, fresh and magical, no two sessions are ever the same.
For example: Woodland Wonders – children explore our woodland playground, hunt for bugs, discover the magic of nature, and practise balancing along logs and other fine and gross motor skills. They create crafts using natural materials and gather to hear stories about the creatures who make the forest their home.
These gentle, seasonal themes help structure sessions while keeping things playful and child-led.
What to Bring
- Weather-ready layers, including sunhat/sun cream or hat & gloves depending on the season
- Warm, fully waterproof coat, trousers, sturdy shoes or wellies
- Spare clothes (especially for messy play!)
- Drink and snack for your child
- Please dress just as warmly as your little one, your comfort will make their experience even better!
- Layers are best, and waterproofs are essential in wet weather.
- If you can bring a reusable coffee/tea cup, we’ll happily fill it at the campfire.
Autumn Term 2025
Monday – Friday 10am until 11.30am from Monday 8th September to Friday 12th December 2025 (not including October Half Term which runs from Monday 27th – Friday 31st October)
- £11 per session
- Term bookings are typically priced at £143 for 13 sessions
- 50% sibling discount and free places for under-1s when booked with a sibling
- Flexible, half-termly payments available
- Taster sessions for new families when spaces allow
